St. Lucy Academy Learners Excel in Term 1 CBC Assessments

We are delighted to announce exceptional performance by our learners in the Term 1 Competency-Based Curriculum assessments. Over 87% of pupils achieved Exceeds Expectation (EE) ratings across Literacy, Numeracy, and Environmental Activities — a testament to our dedicated teaching staff and committed parents. The Principal, Mrs. Grace Kamau, congratulated all learners during the assembly, noting remarkable improvement from the previous term. Learners will receive their assessment reports at the parent-teacher conference on 21st March 2026.

St. Lucy Academy Wins Regional Under-12 Football Championship

Our under-12 football team brought glory to St. Lucy Academy after defeating Thika Primary School 3–1 in a thrilling final at Thika Municipal Stadium. Captain Brian Waweru scored a hat-trick. The team now advances to the Kiambu County Primary Schools Sports Festival in April.

St. Lucy Academy officially opened its new Science Resource Centre on 14th February 2026, funded through parent fundraising and a community development grant. The centre equips learners from Baby Group through Grade 5 with STEM kits and interactive tools aligned with CBC's experiential learning goals.

Cultural Week 2026 Celebrates Kenya's Rich Heritage

St. Lucy Academy hosted its annual Cultural Week from 3rd–7th February 2026, themed "Celebrating Our Roots, Building Our Future." Learners dressed in traditional attire from across Kenya's communities and showcased dances, songs, crafts, and storytelling. The closing ceremony featured a packed cultural exhibition and food fair.

Grade 5 Learners Complete Trip to Nairobi National Museum

Our Grade 5 class enjoyed an enriching excursion to the Nairobi National Museum on 28th January 2026. Highlights included a guided prehistoric exhibits tour, a hands-on archaeology workshop, and a nature walk. "This is what CBC is about — learning beyond the textbook," said class teacher Ms. Faith Wanjiku.

We warmly invite all parents and guardians to the St. Lucy Academy Term 1 Parent-Teacher Conference on Saturday, 21st March 2026 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Class teachers will be available for 15-minute scheduled appointments to discuss CBC assessment results and your child's learning journey. Book your slot at the school office.
