Mrs. Catherine Muthoni Njeri

Mrs. Njeri is the visionary founder of St. Lucy Academy. A seasoned educationist and entrepreneur, she holds a Master of Education in Leadership and Policy from the University of Nairobi and over 20 years of experience in Kenya's primary education sector. She founded the school in 2021 with a dream to provide affordable, world-class CBC education in Thika. She oversees school strategy, partnerships, infrastructure development, and quality assurance. Her mantra: "Every child who walks through our gate deserves excellence."

Dr. Otieno is a retired Deputy County Director of Education (Kiambu County) with over 30 years in the Ministry of Education. He brings deep regulatory knowledge, government relations expertise, and a passion for quality standards in primary education. He chairs the board with a focus on governance, academic policy, and long-term sustainability.
Mrs. Agnes Wangari

A certified public accountant (CPA-K) and partner at a Thika-based audit firm, Mrs. Wangari oversees the school's financial governance, budgeting, fee policy, and audit compliance. She is also a parent at St. Lucy Academy and brings a parent's perspective to every boardroom decision. She ensures every shilling is invested in the children.
Eng. Daniel Kipchoge

A registered civil engineer and director of a construction company in Thika, Eng. Kipchoge advises the board on campus development, classroom construction, safety compliance, and facility maintenance. He led the planning of the 2024 classroom expansion and the new Science Resource Centre. His motto: "Build spaces where children can dream."

A Catholic religious sister and trained social worker who serves as the board's advisor on spiritual life, child welfare, and community relations. Sister Auma connects the school with local churches, charitable organisations, and community health programmes. She champions the school's values of love, care, and integrity.
Mr. Paul Maina

An advocate of the High Court of Kenya and managing partner at Maina & Associates in Thika. Mr. Maina advises the school on regulatory compliance, employment law, parent contracts, and child protection policy. He ensures St. Lucy Academy meets all government registration and safety requirements while upholding the rights of learners and staff.

A gentle yet firm teacher who builds strong literacy foundations. Mrs. Wambua specialises in phonics, creative writing, and reading fluency. With 8 years of teaching experience, she creates a nurturing classroom where every child feels confident to read aloud, ask questions, and express themselves.
Ms. Fatuma Hassan

Early Childhood (ECDE)
A warm and energetic Early Childhood educator who makes school feel like home for our youngest learners. Ms. Hassan holds a Diploma in ECDE from Montessori and specialises in play-based learning, socialisation, and early numeracy. Parents love her daily progress reports and her ability to calm even the most anxious first-timers.

A former semi-professional footballer turned youth sports coach. Mr. Mwangi runs the school's football, netball, and athletics programmes. He led St. Lucy Academy's under-12 football team to the Thika sub-county championship in 2026. He believes sport builds discipline, teamwork, and confidence in every child.

A multi-talented artist and musician who brings colour and rhythm to every school day. Ms. Kamau teaches drawing, painting, craft, music, and drama across all grades. She directs the school choir — winners at the 2025 Thika sub-county Music Festival — and organises the annual Art Exhibition and Talent Show.

A trained counsellor and child psychologist who ensures every learner's emotional and social wellbeing is supported. Mrs. Wanjiru holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Certificate in Child Counselling. She runs weekly social-emotional learning sessions, handles peer conflicts with care, and is the trusted "go-to" person for learners and parents facing challenges.

The heart and soul of the school kitchen. Mama Rose has been feeding St. Lucy Academy learners since the school opened in 2021. She prepares balanced, nutritious meals daily — from morning porridge to hot lunch — ensuring every child is well-fed and energised. Her chapati and githeri are the most requested meals at school!

A skilled baker and Mama Rose's right-hand man in the kitchen. Mr. Kamau trained in hospitality and brings his love for baking to the school — from breakfast mandazi to special-event cakes. He also manages the kitchen garden that supplies fresh vegetables for school meals, teaching learners about nutrition along the way.
